THE PLAYERS

Ken Goodwin - Entertainment Manager
One of the original performers at Alley Cats (Dallas) in 1987, Ken helped to pioneer the concept into what it is today. He has performed and managed the entertainment at Tunetown (Denver), Cat's Meow (New Orleans), Toons (San Jose), O'Briens (Oklahoma City), Blue Moon Saloon (Augusta, GA), and Howl at the Moon Saloon (National Entertainment Manager). His film score credits include The Piano Tuner, which took 2nd place at the Charleston International Film Festival. He has co-written a wide variety of songs for radio shows in Denver, Dallas, and Cincinnati, including one featuring Aerosmith, KISS, REO Speedwagon, Steve Perry, Joan Jett, and Eddie Money.

Jon Sherman
Jon graduated from the Berklee School of Music in Boston, has played both piano and drums and has sung since the age of seven. Through his teen-age years he worked in TV and radio commercials, feature films, and off-Broadway shows. He performed with different bands in the Boston area, and has had extensive experience in the studio (sequencing/programming), mainly co-producing his project "Flag" (check the web!). Previous to Sing Sing, Jon performed Sing-along at Jake Ivory's (Boston), Park in the Bar (Auckland, New Zealand) and Howl at the Moon (San Antonio).

Ashley Owen
At an early age, Ashley always had an intense love of music. One of his favorite pastimes was jamming out in his plastic pants. From there the passion continued to grow. Anything could be a guitar or a drum set. Tennis racquets and wooden boxes were often the instruments of choice. However, joining in with the band became troublesome, as it is quite hard to plug a tennis racquet into an amplifier. For a short time he became obsessed with wearing life jackets but that did not last long.

As he grew so did his appetite for entertaining, so off to California he went. He tried his hand at modeling, but since he was rather small in stature and quite scrawny at the time, modeling was not an option.

Since he was not having much luck in the entertainment world, he decided to take a more spiritual approach to life. He enrolled in the School for Buddhist Taxi Drivers started by Christopher Lloyd. The teachings were invaluable, and under Brother Jim’s apt tutelage he was slowly becoming a Zen Master. After a scandal in the monastery involving some hookers and a live chicken, Ashley decided to leave the faith. The details of the incident are still sketchy.

Forsaking the Buddhist life, he finally found peace and happiness on the plains of Wyoming dressing and acting-out his fantasies as an American Indian. In his spare time, he plays piano at Sing Sing.

Jeff Puszykowski
Jeff started piano at age four. By 13, having picked up the organ, he was a working musician playing church services, weddings, and private parties. At the same time, he performed regularly on stage in community theatre. A classically trained pianist and piano performance major at Michigan State University with orchestral conducting aspirations, he has experience with and interest in film scoring, song writing, arranging and conducting. While at Michigan State he did much arranging and performing with The Spartan Dischords; a twelve member men's a capella group sub set of the MSU Men's Glee Club. He has followed the dueling piano muse from Lansing, Michigan to North Carolina, Atlanta, Texas, and Florida, through Chicago, Boulder and on to Denver!
